Autel IM608/IM508 XP400 Pro Program Subaru Outback Legacy 2020 All Keys Lost

Smart Key AKL: Partially 

Autel adds all smart keys lost function for some models as of 2021 including Outback and Legacy with the large vertical dash screens.  

People have done a few even 2022.  You are able to generate analog key under smart key.

2020 Outback (new system) all keys lost was done by autel im508 and Apb112. Worked great. This was just added in the last update for this system.

Generate analog key then add smart key.

If you do the job with an autel with the help of the apb112 your AKL scenario becomes an add key scenario no need to smart box reset.  It reads the immo data from the vehicle and then creates a temporary smart key to turn on the ignition.  Then you add a new smart key.

If you cannot read eeprom to generate analog key for other 2020+ Outback and Legacy new system, you need to change new smart box and steering lock or access with SSM4 or OBDSTAR.

Subaru BRZ 2013 proximity all keys lost is done with Autel IM508 XP400 Pro.

Get Denso ECU box out, unsolder the chip, read eeprom 93C86, solder back, connect Denso back, use autel im508 with apb112 to create analog key then add smart keyless.

Using after-market key.

Definitely saved a customer 2k$ because the dealer charges 2800 to replace key + smart box + engine ECU.

I was able to set up all the keyfob remotes where all the other IM devices fail. Recommend if you need to get the job done.

So far i have been able to program both a 2017 Chevy Silverado wit anti theft system. And a Honda crv. It programs all the keys that the more expensive model does with the xp400PRO

Here is a new test about using Autel MaxiIM IM508 to add smart remote for Subaru XV GT Edition 2021 via OBD, no need online subscription.

The original Subaru chip is 8A RF430 433.92 MHZ FSK


For the 2020/2021 Subaru Smart Key AKL programming guide using IM608/IM508, please pay attention to the following notes:
Don’t need online subscription.
Network connection is required. It’s all by OBD
You can use OEM, aftermarket, used new, old as long as it looks the same.
They do lock but can be reset, not every device will do them, but some can. HYQ14AHK.
Better use APB112 emulator key. If you don’t have APB112, you can do reset procedure. 2 steps: Just reset smart box and then add key.
