The car scanner is awesome and comes with fast and efficient customer service. As a mechanic for more than 30 years, I always need a professional scanner for cars, pickups, trailers, trucks... This launch scanner works very well on Honda Civic, Ford Explorer, MB... But when I hooked it up to the very first truck, it seems to have hit a problem. Fortunately, the technical support provides adequate customer service to resolve the issue in a timely fashion. Meantime, reminded me that there was an extra charge for this on the details page. I came back to read the page again... Alright, I overlooked this. Then, I paid for the software card to activate it and got the right non-16 pin connector. Well, everything comes back to normal.

I've been looking for a device that can do programming and all relearn services myself for used cars. I found this X431 scanner from Google AD. After researching and viewingvideos.I have done 2 ECU programmings on the BMW and this scanner programmed OEM data to repair software-controlled issues so we could use a used ECU saving not only time but money. I would definitely recommend the diagnostic tool to others.And if needed.I would purchase other things from the LAUNCH again

Bought this tool last month to replace my snap on modi’s and have used it a lot on different car since then. It does almost everything I need from it like adaptation, relearning and data monitoring. Also installed my oscilloscope software on it so it works with the scope now which is much more convenient than carrying an extra tablet. Without a doubt it’s faster and smoother than most well known brands I have used before that have much higher cost.

This is the best value to get into a professional tool that is equipped with a J2534 passthru. The pass thru works perfect with Xentry and many other factory software's. I have used this tool from anything from programming a bmw to diagnosing a 1994 GMC 4500 Pickup. Very powerful tablet to boot, I use it for remote desktop and run many web based apps such as Identifix and Alldata with zero issues. Great tool for the price. To do module programming by myself. I bought this top launch scanner last month . But I didn’t know how to get the software needed for programming. So I turned to customer service for help. The customer service responded quickly and told me downloads the oem software from the vehicle manufacturers sites first how to connect the j2534 pass thru device smart box 3.0 with pc and car and some tips about programming like what version of window finally I successfully solve the software issues on a GM2015.

used correctlly it can and will perform just like any scanner in the 10k$$$ plus ...for a fraction of the cost...by no means difficult to use at all but not for everyone who is not in the industry...also customer service from the seller is great took care of my issues and will be buying more form them x431 pro5 plus awesome battery life

Much powerful than snap-on scanners! Have been using the x431 pro5 for several weeks. Amazing number of vehicles covered from around the world.I tried this LAUNCH tool on most of cars (such as Jeep, Cadillac, Buick, GM Ford. etc.) and it read more data than the old snap-on scanner that I used to own. The other day I was able to diagnose and fix a 2004 BMW 525 by clearing and programming the computer module for my customer.He was very grateful that I saved thousands for him by not taking it to the dealer.Its powerful functions pay for themselves many times over!
