I used my Tech2 clone and performed the “Automated Bleed Procedure” a couple weeks ago. Car is a Cheverolet Corvette C5.
Get this: Drivers Front > Passenger Front > Passenger Rear > Driver Rear!

The other interesting take away was that I bleed my brakes ~2 times per year due to track time with Dot4 (conventional method RR>PR>PF>DF). The fluid always comes out nice and clean-ish. When I performed the Automated Bleed (which cycles the ABS pump), DF looked clean, PF looked clean, PR was a darker amber color(!?), DR looked clean. So, my takeaway from this was that by cycling the ABS pump, it was able to purge a pocket of older fluid that does not get purged using a conventional bleed procedure.

The downside to the Automated Bleed Procedure is that you will use ~2+ (500mL) containers of fluid. Based on this, I will mainly use the conventional method to save on fluid and periodically will use the Automated Bleed Procedure to ensure a complete purge.

The clone I purchased was the: VXDIAG VCX Nano GDS2 and Tech2Win Diagnostic Tool from obd2eshop. It is a little quirky to get installed but not too bad. I would also suggest if you purchase this device to also purchase an OBD2 extension cord (length of your choosing). Since our OBD2 port faces down and is directly in front of the brake pedal, I found it almost impossible to pump the pedal without bumping the VXDIAG dongle that is plugged into the port (the dongle is like 6″ long). If you bump the dongle enough, it will unplug and then you will need to restart the sequence from the beginning. The weight of the dongle as well can cause it to disconnect.

FYI.
Once installed, the Automated Bleed Procedure can be found in the Chassis sub menu. With theTech2 you can also turn the ABS pump off/on for testing purposes as well if you didn’t want to burn through a bunch of fluid.”

This diagnostic tool works great. A little hard to set up. Took about an hour and a half to get working. Could not get continuous data connection on a p4 , 1.6 gig , 512 ram and 5 gig hd with Windows 7 32 bit kept loosing and reconnecting every 10 sec or so. So I tried my newer (sill really old) dual core 1.6 Celeron 4 gig ram, 500 gb hd, windows 10 64. This tool works great on this laptop I have a GMC Yukon XL and it can talk to all the different modules diagnosing problems and also able to activate inputs/ outputs, reset and recalibrate various vehicle sensors through the software provided. I have bought several different scanners and none can do a fraction of what this is capable of. This is definitely the best tool I have in my toolbox and this tool was definitely worth every penny (and then some). Shipping was fast paid extra for next day shipping ( I think it was $7.99) received it on Sunday. I would definitely recommend this product.

I like the fast delivery and how flawless the device works. Instructions were not provided, but after figuring it out and using it, five stars returned. Scanning with TECH2Win and programming with SPS no issues. Means that when using it , avoid disturbing the PC , USB cable, wire harnesses or other electrical circuits, especially during programming.

Once you get the software setup this works great. The wireless feature makes it easy to use. Setting up the software is frustrating. You have to whitelist the gsd2 application so the virus software doesn’t block it but after doing that everything works. Well worth the price.

Works great. Take some time to properly install the software. Once it is installed, this obd 2 hardware works flawlessly.

The vxdiag nano works like it should. This companies support is good. I had a problem with software 6 months after purchase and they got it working again. I would definitely buy from them again.

Works great! Used this on a 2001 s10 and was able to do a crank position sensor relearn. Ran tech2win on windows 10 x64 without having to run any sort of VM. Also was able to change tire size (after 15+ years of the spedo reading incorrect!). Able to pull airbag code history, Cam error pid, etc. Wonderful product!
