Foxflash Read and Write Volvo Denso MB279700 ECU

Volvo xc60 2015-2016 Denso MB279700 full system read, unlock, write working good using foxflash programmer.
D3 2l 4 cyl is Denso.
4cyl are often denso.
5cyl bosch most of time.
file is 3.9mb.

PROCEDURE:

1 –Read the Ecu AND unlock the Ecu2

2 – Write the ECU

Read and Unlock ECU

Connect the following pinout using the multifunction cable.

Start the driver: CAR > VOLVO > TOOLS VOLVO >UNLOCK DENSO MB279700 9641 SH72546R CAN

Click on the READ FILE button to read the file. After reading, click on the UNLOCK button to unlock and enable the writing of the control unit.

 

Write ECU

Now it will be possible to reconnect the control unit to the car and write the modified file via OBD.Use the following driver: CAR > VOLVO > [modello] >2.0 DENSO MB279700 9641 SH72546R CAN

Alternatively, you can WRITE also the ECU on the table using the pinout below.

Note: Compared to the read pinout, the CAN line is moved.

FoxFlash is a very good ECU TCU Clone and Chiptuning Tool

OBD read and write is 50/50 chance. Some read/write via OK no problem.
Some obd read ok, failed to write by OBD.

Some obd read no problem, write it back it goes super fast to 100%, but back an error and car won’t start.

So better read and get password via OBD, then boot to write. 
And see instructions doesn’t need resistors.  Better have a battery maintainer. It needs lots of power.

Connect the pinout and use the following driver:

→ INFINEON TRICORE Tool Password

→ Click on “Find Password” and follow the software messages.
Attention: If you cannot find the password from Pinuot, you must launch the driver in OBD on the vehicle.

Step 2: Read and Write ECU

Connect with the multifunction cable the following pinout and the boot shown below

Because the FoxFlash is working very good for me.  I decided to make this review of facts and tested procedures.

• It works only with the device connected to USB port, like the others. You won’t run the software without it.
• You need some electronic skills to work with it since there is very minimalistic GUI of the software and also you need to make some repairs to the device. It is not intended for use with  OBD port users generally. In this case there is a risk of the car damage if you mess around this port without a basic knowledge.
• In majority of cases you do not need to open ECUs like before and this is the best benefit of this device.
