Toyota transponder key programer Customer Feedback:

1.Mr. Tomasz
Product worked as advertised. Programmed 2 Toyota Corolla (2014) keys for $100 total. ($for tool, $35 each for 2 keys,$5 to get keys cut at locksmith).
This is a 2 step process-Transponder programmer to have the key work with the car's security system and Remote programmer to have the lock/Unlock/Trunk/Emergency for key buttons to work with car. This unit handles both programming tasks.
Toyota wanted $350 per key, local locksmith wanted $250 for 2 keys. This device save me much

2. Mr.Joe M.
I have a 2014 toyota corolla. I lost a key so I thought I would experiment to see if I could copy a key on my own. I bought two blanks and this device. My local locksmith copied the blank keys for two dollars a piece. My first attempt to use this device did not work as described. The antitheft light would not stay on as it was supposed to. After a visit to a local store I decided to try again in the parking lot. I also decided to toggle the switch back and forth a couple times beforehand. This time the antitheft light stayed on. I then removed original key and inserted the new key as per directions. I waited and the antitheft light stop blinking. I then remove the key and the programming device and wait a minute. The key now worked perfect. Upon Programming the second key The antitheft light seem to continue to blink after it initially stopped. Before testing the newly programmed key I decided to start the car with the original. I then used the new program key and it Also now seems to work. Hope this helps.

3. Mr. Mike
My used car I purchased only came with 1 key so I wanted to get a 2nd as soon as possible. I am so happy I found out about this tool as I was initially planning on buying an uncut key and having it done at a locksmith for about $70, but now I can program more keys in the future as well. I cut it for $4 at a local hardware store and programmed this in literally under 5 minutes! Instructions aren’t the best but they aren’t horrible and there are several really good reviews that give clearer instructions. I had a G chip key and purchased an uncut one from Keyless2Go on keyprom8.http://www.keyprom8.com/wholesale/toyota-g-toyota-h-chip-vehicle-obd-remote-key-programming-device.html
The following are a few comments on the really helpful review instructions from “Mr. Mike” which I used.

Transponder:
When you remove the working key and put in the unprogrammed key, you have to do it in maybe 5-10 seconds or theft light turns off and you need to start again.

Remote:
After plugging in the tool, I believe it beeped twice and then there was a long beep. After that I opened the door and pressed both the lock and unlock, and then just the lock button by itself to program it. The location of the OBD II port was a little hard to find as it’s really far under the bottom right of the seat, somewhat near the gas pedal. I’ve attached a photo showing where it is.
Overall, I was a little nervous it might not work and was going to be wasting money but would highly recommend this method as it was easy and saves a lot of money! Just make sure your car/key is programmable and you already having a working “master” key.

4. Mr.Gene Goodell
The programmer worked for my 2017 Toyota Camry. It took awhile but I finally was able to programmed a key. Just be sure purchase a key label the year of the vehicle.
Note to all: Program the transponder first, then the remote. It made a difference for me because first key would not program transponder after remote was programmed. Second key, I programmed the transponder first then the remote before I can start the car. Trick to knowing if the transponder programmed correctly is when the security light turns off after reinserting the key. I did. It cut the key but knew it worked because the security turns off when I inserted the key.

5. Mr.Orem Lock
Locksmith here with 30+ yrs experience. This product works perfectly fine with Toyota G and H chips. It works on transponders and remotes. The instructions aren't very clear, but here are better instructions:
When you put in the new un-programmed key near the end of the process, don't turn it. Wait 1 minute and the theft light will turn off. Now you're set. For the remotes when you plug in the programmer wait for the long non-stop beep. At this point open the driver-side door and press Lock and Unlock simultaneously on the remote and release both, then press Unlock on the remote and the programmer will stop beeping. That's it. The remote is added. I'm not certain about additional remotes, because I've only done one at a time, but you could try the same procedure of Lock+Unlock, then Unlock on the remote until you've added the rest. Don't forget the toggle switch on the programmer. Left = Transponder Right = Remote.
Hope this helps. I don't know if this requires a working master key to program any keys at all.

6. Mr.Robert
Bought a unit from keyprom8. It worked for a 2017 Camry key with the FCC identification (ID) HYQ12BDM. Minus one star for the poorly written directions.
Before you try the programmer directions:
-Go to a local locksmith and get your blank key cut.
-Take a picture with your phone of each side of the unit so you can view the instructions when the unit is plugged into the OBD port.

TRANSPONDER (Anti-theft) Directions:
-Switch the programming unit to the transponder setting. Make sure the switch feels like it clicked into position.
-Get in car with "master" key and blank key.
-Close the door.
-Put the master key into the ignition and switch it to the accessory position.
-Plug the unit into the OBD port.
-There will be some beeping, this let's you know the unit is working, but it's the anti-theft light that you need to be aware of. Once the anti-theft light stays on, remove the master key from the ignition.
-Put the blank key into the ignition. DO NOT TURN THE KEY, just put it in.
-WAIT until the anti-theft light goes off. This may take a few minutes. If the light does not go off, the key has not been properly programmed.
-Remove the key.
-Remove the programming unit.
-Open the door.
-Try your key!

REMOTE Directions:
The remote directions are better, but some notes....
-For this step you do not need the master key, so when the directions say insert key, it's the blank key.
-Make sure you switch the programming unit to the remote setting before beginning.
-When you get to the point in the instructions after you open the door, leave the key in the ignition AND switched on. You will press the LOCK/UNLOCK buttons as stated in the directions WHILE the key is in the ignition and switched on.
-After you have pressed the lock/unlock buttons in the correct sequence, switch the key off, remove the programming unit, get out, close the door, try your key!

8. Mr.TruePen
I have bought this tool for programming my 2016 Toyota Corolla with H chip key bought on keyprom8 . It worked perfectly. However, the seller instruction is not clear, it take me a few times to try for the first key to be programmed for both transponder and remote buttons. Here are the 2-steps I took for programming the key and the buttons:
I. Programming Transponder:
1. Slide the switch to the left side.
2. Get in the car and close the door, insert the original (programmed) key into the lock and turn the key on (all light is on, but not start the car), and then insert the device into the OBD. It will sound twice.
3. In about 15 seconds, the device will make the continuing sound (Dee-Dee-), the anti-theft light will be on. Remove the main key (anti-theft light will flash)
4. Insert the new key (don't turn the key), anti-theft light will be flashing for 30 seconds (29 flashed), then the anti-theft light will be off.
5. Remove the device from OBD port, remove the new key from the lock.
Re-insert the new key, and turn on to start the car. It should start the car.
II. Programming Remote Control:
1. Slide the switch to the right side.
2. Get in the car and close all doors, insert the original key and turn the key on (all light is on, but not start the car), insert the device into OBD, It will sound twice.
3. In about 5 seconds, the device will make the blaring sound (Dee------), open the driver door.
4. Press and HOLD both "lock & unlock" button at the same time for 3 seconds (or 4 seconds), release both buttons press the "lock" button once. The sound from the device will be off.
5. Remove the device from OBD port, remove the main key from the lock.
The button on the new key should work after these steps.

TOYOTA G AND H CHIP OBD REMOTE KEY PROGRAMMER USING TIPS
I start by closing all doors, the red anti-theft light is flashing as shown in the attached picture.  Then I insert the master G chip key and turn to ON position.  The flashing anti-theft light has turned off.  Then I connect the Toyota G and H OBD remote Key Programmer with the switch set to the LEFT into OBD port.  I hear two dee sounds (dee-dee) and wait more than 3 minutes, but the red anti-theft light does not come on at all and there is no sound at all.  I waited more than 5 minutes and still nothing.
What else should I be doing.  Is it possible that the key programmer that you sent me to be defective
