PCMTUNER VS FC200, WHICH IS BETTER?

General Comparison:

PCMtuner is clone, FC200 is original.

FC200, mainly for Bosch, read less ECU than PCMtuner. PCMtuner could also burn or corrupt ECU like the original one, but no one says.

For a great tool, go for Scanmatik and original software PCMflash. For this PCMtuner, they use 1.27 at this moment.

FC200 comes with a nice plastic box, and PCMtuner has a carton box. Cable’s quality from PCMtuner is much better than clone Galletto or Kess, but cables with silicones from FC200 is of double size and they are excellent. You may have a bad contact with this one from PCMtuner.

Compare via ECU R/W:

1)Connected ECU to FC200

Identification.

Read D-Flash with less than 8 seconds.

Get P-Flash with around 53 seconds.

Write P-Flash back. Here don’t click Correction, which will connect to the server and take a little bit longer. Checksum is insider PCMtuner so it doesn’t take so long.

Whole process takes about 45 seconds.

2)Connect ECU to PCMtuner

It’s V1.27 that makes you believe it’s copy from original PCMflash, but it’s just the screen the interface, but I really appreciate this company has better service than Scanmatik and PCMflash.

Just like Autotuner, but turn around the image.

Read Flash, which takes about 100 seconds.

Try EEPROM, less than 9 seconds.

Write Flash back. It often crashes, just take power cable again.

The process takes over 3 minutes.

Summary

FC200 is very useful and very cheap, and I believe this one is the best programmer for the tuning for Bosch, for the price.

If you want a professional one, the Flex is a great tool, and the new one Kess3.
