Question:
I need a tool to read and write ECU/TCU. It’s better under 1000 Euros. Which tool is recommended? How about CG FC200 and Xhorse Multi Prog?
obd2eshop.com engineer gives the suggestion below.
Both are good ECU/TCU programmers under 1000 Euros. Both not only can read and write a wide range of ECUs/TCUs, but also support VAG MQB48 NEC35XX Immo data reading and mileage correction.
Multi Prog is more expensive than FC200. The reason is that it also has an option of reading chips and MCU’s, and supports software update online for free for lifetime, no need subscription fee. Besides that, it offers a unique script function, allowing users to create their own scripts. Xhorse also plans to add built-in scripts in future updates.
There is a great advantage for FC200 that it supports Mercedes-Benz VGS-NAG3 9G Tronic, while VVDI Multiprog doesn’t
If you have a sufficient budget, recommend you to have both tools in case one fails.
