Professional diagnostic scanner This scanner is great for professional diagnostics. It performs plenty of advanced functions including programming uncoded modules for Mercedes-Benz BMW, matching precise component, and offering 99% maintenance services. Easy to use with smoother operation, and I tested some of cars. Almost all operation were well done by this launch scan tool. Worked no problem for VAG vehicles: VW and Audi, offering coding functions for airbag system as stated. This launch scanner did initial startup for air conditioning system and fixed codes after replace part of vehicles. Topology map function found completely fault codes for all vehicle modules and troubleshot the root cause. Very easy to use. This is my 3th diagnostic tool and it did more than Snap-on tool but cost ess. Great for the money. It's the best choice for professional automotive repair workshop.

Awesome scanner tool I purchased the LAUNCH X431 Pad 7 about two weeks ago, so far I had absolutely no problem with it. It had been very helpful to my diagnosis and repair works. There are a lot of adapters and cables for various vehicles in the box. The large tablet with 13-inch screen is like no other. It’s fantastic and easy to set up as well. I loves dual WIFI system which maintains faster and more stable connection during diagnostics . The tool can do so many things other products can’t ,specifically for professional repair,programming ecm for BMW, multiple services lfunctions ,even doing a scan you will find codes that didn’t know were even there. All performed well. Forget Snap on tools or Matco,they are not in the same level. I highly recommend this all-in-one diagnostic tool to you if you have a repair shop. It’s a real bang for the buck.

This diagnostic tool is said to be able to program over 20 car models. I have a Mercedes Benz, and the car battery voltage is insufficient which result in module data loss. the fault code guided me to program the ECU, I did it and it was very successful! This X431 tool even supports backing up data from original vehicle CU that other auto scanners couldn’t do. More features, like online matching and calibration, are to be discovered by me. I’m very pleased with the purchase. Highly recommend this launch X431 Pad7 diagnostic scanner to other people.

the best tool for money i gave it 5 stars for its powerful functions. it works as advertised and meets almost all needs of the repair shop. the packing box is solid and the tablet is protected with soft glue making it a ultra level tool, overall the tool is great replacement for snap on scanner.

Great scan tool will do 80-90% for most of what you need! Budget friendly! Recommend for new/ intermediate technicians and even DIYer looking to get into diagnostics without breaking the bank. Not too big or heavy. Very durable. Would also recommend to shops looking to get all their technicians a scan tool in each bay.

This is a nice scanner for the price. Took a little getting use to navigating it to get to were I wanted, but after I figured it out it made sense. I would have liked to have seen more bidirectional controls, but for the money, I'm probably expecting to much. It does have some nice features and the screen is easy to see. T If I was looking for anther scanner I would definitely consider this one again. Oh, the case is really nice and compact and looks like it will Protect it nicely. I have used it on several vehicles now and it has worked flawlessly on the ones I have tried it on so far.

Launch X431 PAD VII Arrived nicely packaged. This scan tool is very well made and nice and compact. It looks and feels solid. This scanner is a mid level to professional grade tool with lots of features. It has everything you need to diagnose a vehicle and more. I use this tool daily. The refresh rate is good and the touch screen works well overall. In my opinion this is a great tool for the price compared to other more expensive ones I have purchased before.

Audi DQ380 gearbox ECU, the original gearbox ECU hardware failed, but still can read, replace a used gearbox ECU and perform ECU data cloning, the solution is to use Launch X-431 PRO Immobilizer matching device (Expert version), Launch X-43 PRO or PAD series comprehensive diagnostic device (like Launch X431 PAD VII) or + X-431 GIII Immobilizer programmer
 

Main process:

The cloning function can only be directly connected to ECU, backup and restore through the BENCH mode;

1. Connect the original gearbox ECU through the BENCH mode to back up the original gearbox data;
2. Connect the external used gearbox ECU through the BENCH mode, and write the original gearbox data backed up before.
3. Connect the external used gearbox ECU through the BENCH mode, and back up the data of external used gearbox ECU again

Current data (after data has been restored)

4. Compare if the original gearbox data backed up at the very beginning and the gearbox data after restored are the same (install it on the vehicle to test after checking the data are the same)
