Autel IM608 Pro II Adds Porsche Key via EEPROM success 

EEPROM is hard to navigate. There are 2 scenarios for using EEPROM: one is if you want to add a new key using certain vehicles like BMW, Audi and Porsche; Another is if you replace an ECU like the engine and need to read the old unit’s information. So, I’m going to show how to program a Porsche key with Autel MaxiIM IM608 Pro II via EEPROM in an easy way.

Using D Flash means we’ll read the data from a chip, so first let’s take out chipset from the immobilizer system, then connect it to XP400 Pro & IM608 II Key Programmer. Now let’s start to program a new key.

Programmer >> Accept >> Chip(EEPOM, MCU, ECU) >> Chip read & write >> Immobilizer >> Porsche >> BCM > 5M48H > R(Back up)

Read the operation guide & help information carefully, click “OK”.

Here we can connect the wires according to diagram.

Zoom in to make sure you can see it clearly.

Follow the instructions on screen, you first need to cut a line in one spot and remove 2 other parts. Then connect the wires accordingly. They are color coded and labeled to help you.

Once the wires connected, go back and select “Read”. This will read the information from the ECU and record it in the tablet. We’ll use this information to learn a new key.

Save and rename the file.

Exit and head back to the Home screen.

Immo >> Accept >> Porsche >> Expert mode >> New Porsche >> Load EEPROM data

Find the BCM type that’s located on the chipset: 5M48H

Once make dealer key is successful, move on to the last step key learning process. You’ll need to connect JVCI into OBD2 port, and learn the key. The EEPROM key learning is very simple. Just make sure a skilled professional is performing this process.

2 Ways to Program Renault Clio V 2021 Key with Autel IM608 pro ii

Method 1: It can be done online directly with OBD without removing or installing anything from the car. This transaction is Paid and the transaction fee is $8.8.

I need to adapt a used cluster on a 2013 VW Jetta. This vehicle did not have a kessy module. Was a regular flip key ignition.
I don’t have avdi or a similar device for this job. I have an Autel IM608 and original VCDS rosstech. I was able to get original cluster into service mode using IM608 and working key and I retrieved Immo data this way. Autel goes in to cluster for immo functions. Immo iv , nec 24c64. However I cannot get the donor cluster in service mode to read immo data through obd. Will it be possible to get into service mode though eeprom and backup immo data on the used cluster with im608?

Just an update in case someone in the future needs this info. I was able to do the job from start to finish with the Autel IM608.
Like I said I read immo data from original cluster through obd without issue since I had a working key.
Next I used all keys lost via dump on the replacement cluster to see if I could get it into service mode. Followed im608 instructions:
Removed 24c64 from cluster put in xp400 programmer. It read eeprom then modified it to service dump, soldered eeprom back to the cluster, and i had service mode then it rewrote original eeprom via obd and finally It read immo data, and I cancelled all keys lost procedure after that since I had what I needed.
Then I used the cluster replacement function in im608 and it did it through obd using pin and CS from replacement and pin and CS from original.
Finally I was able to do a key learn using the original keys.

PS abs coding was lost had to use online coding for brake module to get it back. Also radio theft locked I need to find pin for the radio now.

I bought this Autel in 608 pro ii for my mechanic at my dealership and he loves it. Gives home way more data and information than other scanners. Works on all cars and easy to use. I like that’s it’s witless so no cables. Haven’t tested out all the features but so far we love it.

This is a great tool with a lot of features! Probably more than I need as a weekend DIY mechanic. Nicely built and packaged and appears to be very high quality.

This tool provides all the info you need to perform any all of the programming tasks. I was able to program a key to a 2005 Mini Cooper on my first try. I love how the diagnostic app comes along with it. Iv been using a Autel MaxiSys for the past two years. I love that i can have best of both worlds. Both the immo application and the diagnostic application.
Did a Merc. W211 yesterday AKL without G-box 15 minutes. On bench. + 30 minutes remove EIS and install it again.
2014 Audi rs7 added 2nd key through obd in around 10 minutes, asked me to de energize the BCM and that slowed me down a bit. Im608 is nice.
Success - Programming Freelander '09 Key insert module.

I have had the im608 for a week now. Been very happy with it done many keys : benz, bmw, peygeot, audi, vw, citroen, ford, fiat, skoda, renault, nissan, honda, smart, opel, and what not. Been working pretty great. Many of them were all keys lost. Few problems encountered for example: - Citroën c4 problem with all keys lost pin (they fixed it though, update) - smart could not add key (0probably sam fault though). - mb vito 906, the ir simulator and read was pretty buggy. From what i understand the xp400pro doesnt have this issue - xp400 eeprom cable problem. Also fixed in pro i guess ( i have the non pro) Overall very reliable. Been worth my money. Also good 4 servic3 reset injector coding ect. Small stuff. The inspection camera is pretty good too. Oscilloscope not the best.
