Step 1: Read and Write ECU

Connect with the multifunction cable the following pinout and the boot shown below.

Use the driver:

→ TOOLS BOOT MODE

→ INFINEON TRICORE Boot

→ SAK TC1793

Step 2: Password Search

Disable the boot mode by unsoldering the grey wire. Connect the pinout below.

Use the driver:

→ TOOLS BOOT MODE

→ INFINEON TRICORE Tool Password

→ PASSWORD BFT

→ Click on “Find Password” and follow the foxflash software messages.

Now that the password has been found, and it’s possible to read and write the control unit as described in STEP 1.

Many tools can read and write on bench without opening, ktag, kess v2, fgtech.

But many reported there is a risk to brick ecu with ktag clone if do it on bench, better in boot mode.  Foxflash with no risk.

Been going back and forth for a while on an ODB reader for my various personal vehicles so I can possibly avoid a visit to the mechanic, this unit had me worried due to only being $25, like theres no way is gonna work right, first off it doesn't look or feel like its cheap, it worked immediately out of the box and even though I didnt need them the instructions included are clear and precise and make sense.
